Prometheus has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette including some chatter from Ridley Scott and his cast, alongside a few snippets of brand new footage from the finished film.
The new featurette shows us the excitement of Holloway and Shaw (Logan Marshall-Green and Noomi Rapace) as they make their way across the alien planet for the first time, before counter-balancing that with their frantic retreat to the ship.
There's also an extended look at Vickers' (Charlize Theron) attempt to leave the Prometheus via an escape pod, an endeavour she appears to be successful in.

Once again, the environments encountered by the crew of the Prometheus look nothing short of spectacular, from the ominous shadows of the temple to the dusty plains of the planet's surface. If ever a film were worth checking out in 3D (it was filmed using the technology rather than refitted in post-production), it's this one…
Prometheus opens in the UK on 1 June 2012. We genuinely don't think we could be any more excited...
